The YardMap Network

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has received a grant from the National Science Foundation to create a new citizen science project called The YardMap Network . This project invites the public to map their yards, sharing the habitat-types and conservation practices happening in yards and green spaces across the country. We are looking for gardeners and birders to participate in focus groups on Thursday March 11 from 4:00-6:00pm and Friday March 12 from 1:00-3:00pm & 4:30-6:30pm.

Each participant will receive a $40 gift card for amazon.com . This is also a chance for you to provide important feedback to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Science Foundation.

Focus groups will meet at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. If you are interested in participating, more detailed instructions will follow.

Focus groups will be facilitated by Steve Yalowitz and Tammy Messick from the Institute for Learning Innovation (ILI), a partner on the project. If you are interested please contact Tammy Messick at messick@ilinet.org . We are limited to 12 spots per time, and you will be contacted shortly after your email to confirm your spot.

All RSVP’s must be received by noon on Monday, March 8.
