There are finally enough flowers in my yard for it to feel like spring. My early spring bulbs are mostly eaten by critters, although the scilla bifolia colors the whole yard early. And I gorge on Hellebores since the deer don't eat them. My Daphne is just hanging on. But now I have primroses, pulmonaria, cyclamen, and tonnes of bulbs. Better yet, the natives are really showing up. Toothwort is in bloom; the spring beauties just opened; the bloodroot is in full show; the caulophyllum & jeffersonia are tall and dark burgundy. But most importantly, the first Trillium finally opened.
I put a couple of lousy photos up. I really need to get serious about transferring to digital cameras.
